1. Reliable electricity (California rolling blackouts excepted)
2. emissions control laws
3. littering laws
4. water pollution standards & control
5. Airline phone numbers that do not go to an answering machine after “office hours”
6. kitchens
7. The Orkin man
8. public education system
9. truancy laws- forcing parents to allow their children a basic education
10. average population of only 79.6 persons per square mile
11. salespeople who don’t hover and badger and drive you away when you might have bought if only they would leave you alone for a second!
12. drinkable tap water
13. trusting peoples facial expressions for good or bad
14. the general idea that passive aggressive is a negative personality trait
15. an aggressive news system that would challenge false declarations that everything is “back to normal”.
16. in home laundry
17. a more general reluctance to “prophesy”
18. infrastructure
19. the general idea that cuteness and cartoons are childhood phases.
20. animal control laws that disallow the sale of puppies and bunnies with little dresses on to drunk street party goers. This can’t possibly end well for the animals.
