It’s summer, can’t we just enjoy the warmth?
July 25, 2007 7:39 am Daily lifeI am really sick of air conditioning. We live in WISCONSIN, not Arizona. Yesterday I left the office and worked from home because I was so cold and had just had enough. Actually, I work better and longer at home, but that’s not the point. I had been plugging away at my desk and got up to get a cup of coffee. I walked into the kitchen (which was normal temperature, no air conditioning) and realized how much I did not want to go back into that cold office. I was done.
Air conditioner air doesn’t even feel good, like a fan, it’s stale and cold, like some fake winter.

I second!
People always “poor you” me when they find out we have no AC. Really, I’m fine with it. The only problem is that everywhere else is freezing!

When we lived in Houston I’d occasionally have to carry a sweater with me in the summer. Now Houston summers are about as hot, humid, and miserable as they come, but there were places (grocery stores, especially) that would blast the A/C like you wouldn’t believe. I’d hate to see their electric bills.
